Program Description

RNG Water Alerts is a notification service operated by RNG Water Company. We send water utility notifications including service interruptions, scheduled maintenance, boil-water advisories, billing reminders, and emergency alerts to keep you informed about your water service.

Message Types & Frequency

You may receive the following types of messages:

  • Water service interruption alerts
  • Scheduled maintenance notifications
  • Boil-water advisories
  • Billing and account reminders
  • Emergency water quality alerts

Message frequency varies based on water service events in your area. Typically you will receive 1-5 messages per month, but you may receive more during emergencies.

How to Opt In

You can opt in to SMS notifications by:

  • Providing your phone number during account registration
  • Enabling SMS notifications in your account preferences
  • Texting one of the following keywords to our number: JOIN, SUBSCRIBE, ALERTS

How to Opt Out

You can opt out at any time by:

  • Replying to any message with one of the following keywords: STOP, STOP ALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT
  • Disabling SMS notifications in your account notification preferences

After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further SMS notifications will be sent.

How to Re-Subscribe

If you previously opted out, you can re-subscribe by texting: START, YES, UNSTOP

Message and data rates may apply. Consult your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan. SMS is not required to use the RNG Water Alerts service or to purchase any goods or services.

Compatible carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. Service may not be available on all carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
